Rejoice because He loves us!
I am struggling at writing this post. I am not sure how to fully portray the GREATNESS of our God!
He does beautiful things.
I am in awe.
But not surprised.
Our God loves us. Our God loves our children MORE than we love them.
And He has led us down this path to adoption. We have many answered prayers. We can see the Lord working out the finite details bringing Crusoe and Isa home to us, their family.
Even though the day that we will actually get to hold them and care for them seems so far away. it's nearer to us now. Even though we see the obstacles sometimes more than the miracles, they are weaved throughout this journey. Even though it's scary and hard and sometimes seems impossible, it's beautiful to watch the Lord work. He makes the impossible happen.
A little over a week ago, we had what seemed like a big blow to our adoption process. We received news of additional expenses to our adoption totaling $7,000.We were feeling defeated, worn out and just frustrated. And although we understood the process and the reasons, it really doesn't seem fair. But truly, international adoption is expensive. And it's not really fair. (But, what is fair really? It's not really fair that our children in Congo have to wait so long for us. It's not really fair that they are orphans at all...) Anyway, the added expense, the added travel time...it put us still needing to raise over $23,000.
These are our kids and we are going to bring them home.
God does beautiful things through people. Someone, somewhere followed His gentle leading and anonymously donated $20,000 to us. We are in awe. And so, so, so thankful. Thankful through tears, that God moved mountains for us to be right where we are, so close to bringing them home.
Thank you for praying for us in this journey. We are very close to being fully funded! We have a little more to raise for our travel fund and praise the Lord, it's within reach!
